I am passionate about enhancing live performances through the visual art of film. With former experience in film and theatre, I help create an immersive show for the audience. These two sides of entertainment can become a form of escapism for the audience, allowing the viewer to fall into a new world for a brief moment. Through this artistic storytelling, I see the people I am reaching, creating an unforgettable moment for me and a memorable impact for the audience.
I began working in the Music Media Entertainment and Technology department at Huntington Beach High School, learning and obtaining skills in directing camera work and other technical roles for live music shows. In my senior year, I was nominated for Best Live Video Director.
I graduated from Cypress College with an Associate of Science in Film, Television, and Electronic Media and a certificate in Technical Theatre. I utilized my time filming a few short films, mirroring my quick and on-beat editing style influenced by my directing experience. I apprenticed at the Blank Theatre Company for their Young Playwrights Festival during my first year of college. There I learned stage management and continue to stage manage productions at my school; including Sordid Lives and the American Clock, where I was awarded the Meritorious Achievement Award from The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
I transferred to Korea University (고려대학요) in 2021 and majored in Media and Communication. In Seoul, I expanded my knowledge of stage management and lighting design with the Seoul Players Theatre Company. Recently, I finished my course credits and came back to Los Angeles. I am open to working in various theatre or film production roles and/or interning to advance my knowledge of live video production.
My career goal is to become a live video director for concerts and other live productions. Additionally, I desire to broaden my work experience among record labels and broadcasting companies to understand the musical aspect of touring and entertainment. I look forward to what is to come down the road.
